A program that allows kids to learn through observation. Students will go on several field trips: planetarium, zoo, ocean, park, and a sporting event. Students will utilize their sensorimotor skills and then reenact and verbalize their visualizations and feelings creatively through arts (drawing, music, poem, acting, etc.) or science (simple experiments).

Program to assist participants to manage their stuttering effectively through fluency stabilization, enhancement techniques and learning how to cope with the psychological aspects of stuttering.
Participants will receive speech therapy services so that they can continue working on the fluency shaping (easy onset, pausing, slower rate) and stuttering modification strategies (cancellations, pull-outs, easy repetitions).
Volunteer educators will also help students that require additional tutoring, reading and communication support.

Students will develop their plan of action for practicing speaking techniques through reading, audiotapes, software programs and will work with speech therapists to assist in achieving their plan.
In the group, students will talk amongst each other about their struggles and inadequacies to develop strategies that manage the social and emotional challenges they face inside and outside of the group. They will learn how to communicate with their parents, family members, friends and teachers about stuttering.
Students will also develop decision learning trees around self-worth, self-advocacy, self-reliance and self-esteem incorporating their personal communication goals. They will be partnered with peer mentors who are on an upward path of progress toward overcoming stuttering and are seen as peer leaders.

The program includes: Guest lecturers of successful people who have overcome stuttering, workshops, mentoring, fun activities, fluency skills and speech therapists

The U.S. spends more than $147 billion on obesity-related illnesses. E1VM will deliver a nutrition, wellness and prevention component for our participants. We will partner with therapists and doctors to ensure our participants are making all scheduled speech and healthcare appointments.
E1VM will develop wellness seminars to educate parents of our participants in creating healthier lifestyles for the entire family. We will offer yoga, meditation and low impact exercise activities as a way to reduce stress, anxiety and provide mindfulness practices.
E1VM will also provide nutritious snacks for all its programs to reinforce healthy eating behaviors.
