Youth Mental Health

**YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING**

**Learn the Signs. Start the Conversation. Make a Difference.**

Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches parents, teachers, educators, mentors, coaches, community leaders, youth-serving organizations, and other caring adults how to recognize and respond when a young person may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.

During this training, participants will learn how to:

✅ Recognize common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges in youth
✅ Identify warning signs of substance use
✅ Understand how to approach and communicate with a young person who may be struggling
✅ Provide initial support and reassurance
✅ Connect youth to appropriate professional and community resources
✅ Respond appropriately during a mental health or substance use crisis

You don't have to be a mental health professional to make a difference. Knowing how to recognize the signs, start the conversation, provide support, and connect a young person to help can make an impact.
